X. The Wheel of Fortune
The Fool has an epiphany—a moment in time when everything in the cosmos seems to line up perfectly as he envisions the vast Wheel of Fortune. The Wheel reveals the interconnected web of creation that is built around patterns and cycles as diversity and unity merge to produce the Grand Order of the Universe. The Fool begins to understand fate and destiny as well as the God within and beyond the rituals of humanity. The Wheel of Fortune shows him the Life Force that is active in the One Substance, yet differentiated into the Four Elements. He glimpses the mixture that conceals the supreme essence at the root of all duality. |
